I recently began work on a RESTful web service using WCF 4. One of our requirements was to implement basic HTTP authentication (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Basic_access_authentication). Incase you haven’t heard Facebook is back at it. This time with their facial recognition software and of course it is by default enabled. Luckily you can now disable it.
